As promised December last year (2022), the Skills Based Approach App For Learners and Workers would formulize. This video shows how to work with different instances (skill sets) simultaneously in what be a semester for a college student.
It starts where the last two videos left off – an app loaded with skills and actions. (To understand how to get skills, assign them stages, and create tasks, objectives, platforms, and credentials, see prior videos. Or simply give the app a try!)
As skills are being worked on and actions are completed – they move from being active, to archive, to online storage. Shows how to work with an evolving skill set and manage the constant flow of tasks, setting objectives, and stacking credentials.
For the last few years, much of my attention is focused on accomplishing the how as opposed to proposing why the methodology should be adopted. I think this app proves the methodology works. Three obvious advantages (whys) include:
- Connect learning skills in the same context as required job skills.
- Deep real-time knowledge of progress acquiring the skills. Able to pivot.
- Platform to stack credentials.
The app is downloadable from Google Play and worth giving a try. If you are an interesting education institution, workforce development organization, or company, please contact us partner@skillslabel.com or partner@skillsbasedaprroach.com to learn more.
